About the Business Days Calculator

Skip weekends automatically when shifting dates. Useful for SLA deadlines, contract dates, fulfillment windows, and any "X working days" requirement.

The calculator counts only Monday through Friday and returns the resulting date with its day of the week. Holidays are not factored in — for now, treat the result as a "calendar workday" estimate.

How it works

The calculator walks the calendar one day at a time from the start date in the requested direction (forward or backward), counting only weekdays (Monday–Friday). Saturdays and Sundays are skipped. Public holidays are not factored in — treat the result as a calendar-workday estimate.

Frequently asked questions

Does this account for public holidays?

No. If your contract or SLA references "X business days excluding holidays," subtract holidays manually from the result.

Is the start date counted?

No — counting begins from the next weekday. Adding 1 business day to Friday lands on Monday.

Can I add fractional business days?
