About the Date Range Breakdown

Useful for reporting and analytics. Pick a preset (today, this week, this month, this year, last week/month/year, year-to-date) or enter custom dates. OmniWhen reports total calendar days, business days, weekend days, total hours and minutes, and the business-day percentage.

Great for sizing a billing period, scoping a sprint, or quickly seeing the makeup of any range.

How it works

Presets compute a [start, end] pair from "now" using calendar logic — "this month" runs from day 1 to last day, "this week" uses Monday–Sunday (ISO), "YTD" runs Jan 1 to today. Custom dates use whatever you enter. The calculator then iterates day by day, classifying each as a business day or weekend day.

Examples

  • "This month" (March 2026)31 days · 22 business · 9 weekend · 71%
  • "YTD" (Jan 1 → Nov 4)~308 days · ~221 business · ~87 weekend
  • Custom Jan 1 → Jan 1414 days · 10 business · 4 weekend · 71%
